Hello Everyone!
Thank you for visiting my website! It's an opportunity for me to share some of my work with you. I've been a journalist for over 20 years and now, on this site, I'll showcase a collection of stories I've reported on for television news from across the world, as well as a body of written work on a range of subjects. I have covered everything from wars to refugee crises, elections, politics, the COVID-19 pandemic and much more.
I have worked for some of the world's leading broadcasters, including Sky News, Al Jazeera English and TRT World, as well as short stints at the BBC and ITV News. I have also written for some well-known print publications including The Independent and The Huffington Post. In addition, I have co-authored two books, one of reporting refugees and thr other on war reporting.

I am of Bangladeshi origin but born and bred in London. In fact, I am the first ever (and so far, only) female British-Bangladeshi staff foreign correspondent at a 24-hour English-language international news channel.

As for my education, I completed my undergraduate degree at Queen Mary University, London, my Masters degree at Birkbeck, University of London and a post-graduate diploma in newspaper journalism from London's City University. More recently, I completed a foundation course in English literature from Oxford University.

I have been living in the magical city of Istanbul since 2015. Journalism has always been my great passion and I love it as much now as when I first started. Do take a look and feel free to get in touch!
