I have had the great pleasure of judging the Asian Media Awards since its inception in 2013. My categories are Journalist of the Year and Best Investigation. Diversity and representation in the media is a subject that is, naturally, very close to my heart and it is truly an honour to be able to play a small part in bringing to the forefront the fantastic achievements of Britain's Asian community.

I've given awards to the likes of Tazeen Ahmad, Kim Sengupta, Shekhar Bhatia, Faisal Islam, Ross Kemp, Deeyah Khan and many others.
Since it started, the Asian Media Awards has gone from strength to strength and has gained worldwide recognition. It holds a gala dinner every October at the Hilton Deansgate in Manchester which draws in some of the biggest names in the industry. It's something I hope to be involved in for many years to come.
